“Hospitality for generations”
A Family Business …
Originally a quaint and charming grocery shop, Pat Cohan’s Bar and Dining Room was born out of its starring role in the iconic John Wayne and Maureen O’Hara beloved film ‘The Quiet Man’ which took over the streets and fields of Cong in 1951. Ever since fans from all over the world have been flocking to the establishment to step into the much loved ‘Fight Scene’ from the film and see for themselves the local beauty and character-filled locals that made the film such a global success.
The business is run by Local Lady Sharon McGrath and her husband Ray Kenny together with business partner and award winning chef Paul Power. The colourful and lasting story of this famous little Irish Pub in the West of Ireland is in safe hands as they possess a true appreciation for the strong emotional connection people have around the world have to the film and invite you to come and feel the magic, history and Irish warmth for yourself.
